What is a monetized TikTok account?

On TikTok, “monetized” usually means an account admitted to the Creator Rewards Program. Once in, videos that meet the program criteria earn rewards based on qualified views, engagement and watch time.

It is different from other revenue sources on the platform, such as live gifts, brand deals or Shop affiliate sales: a monetized account can combine them, but the rewards program is the foundation.

Requirements to get monetized on TikTok

To join the Creator Rewards Program, TikTok notably requires:

being at least 18 years old;
having at least 10,000 followers;
reaching at least 100,000 authentic views in the last 30 days;
a personal account in good standing, with no recent violations;
being located in an eligible country (including the US, the UK, Germany and France);
